Powerlife’s Terms & Conditions

General

Timetable: Powerlife strives to deliver all classes on time as per our timetable. Please note at times our timetable is subject to change or classes cancelled but we will always do our best to communicate this notice in advance. Powerlife is not liable to refund or offer compensation for classes that are changed or cancelled for any reason.

New Clients: Bookings for classes is not essential. If you are new, please make yourself known to the Powerlife team member in reception upon arrival. 

Belongings: We provide storage for your belongings in the studio. Please note, all personal belongings are stored at your own risk. Powerlife is not responsible for personal items that are lost or stolen.

Children: Our classes are suited for clients ages 16 and up unless otherwise stated in a class description (i.e. Kids Yoga). In respect of others (peace and quiet) and insurance reasons, children are not permitted to wait in the reception area during class.

Late Entry: It's generally OK to arrive late for class, but Powerlife reserves the right to turn clients away in cases where late entry makes the class unsafe for them. (i.e. missed the warm up).

Pricing: Our pricing is subject to change and may increase from time to time to reflect an increase in our costs and your benefit.


 Memberships, Class Passes & Events


Direct Debit Membership
The Direct Debit Contract includes general classes only and does not include workshops, events, courses or teacher trainings. Please make sure your account is up to date when you purchase your direct debit. Memberships are not refundable, transferrable, shareable or extendable and no further discounts apply.


Contract Duration and Automatic Renewal
A contract is in force for a minimum of 6 months from the contract start date. Payments are made to Powerlife either fortnightly or monthly from a nominated bank account or via an authorised automatic credit card. At the end of the 6-month period, the contract will automatically renew for subsequent fortnightly or monthly payments, until cancelled by written notification of 14 days in advance of the next billing date.


Freezing and Cancelling a Direct Debit Contract
To freeze a direct debit, a request must be submitted in writing at least 14 days in advance of your next billing date in order for your request to be effective from the following month. Billing date is based on your activation date. You cannot freeze your Direct Debit Contract during the initial 6-month period. A freeze will only apply for extended injury or illness and not for general busyness of life, or vacations. 

You can freeze your membership after your initial 6 month period at anytime via a request in writing to juliekradolfer@gmail.com. The freeze is activated at the start of the next billing cycle and can be requested for a minimum of 2 weeks and maximum of 1 month. Following the end of your requested freeze period, your fortnightly or monthly auto-renew will automatically be reactivated.

To cancel your contract a written request must be received via email at least 14 days in advance of your billing cycle, only once the 6-month minimum period has been fulfilled.


Studio Closure Days
Powerlife is closed for some public holidays and reserves the right to close on all public holidays. Powerlife reserves the right to take up to and including 5 operational/maintenance related down days each year. This is inclusive of your membership. i.e. Time is not added onto your membership in lieu of any public holidays or the above mentioned closure days.


Class Passes
Payment of a class pass must be upfront to the full amount and is activated on the date the first class is taken with a validity of 6-months. Passes are not refundable, transferrable, shareable or extendable and no further discounts apply. Passes are valid for general classes only and does not include workshops, events, courses or teacher trainings. Passes cannot be placed on hold. A hold will only apply for extended injury or illness and Powerlife will consider these cases individually and not for general busyness of life or vacations.


Introductory Offer - 10-days of Unlimited Classes
Payment of an Introductory Offer must be upfront to the full amount and is activated on the date the first class is taken. This offer is for valid for 10 consecutive days only. The Introductory Offer is available for new members only and must be activated within 6 months of purchase.

Introductory Offers are not refundable, transferrable, shareable or extendable and no further discounts apply. Passes are valid for general classes only and does not include workshops, events, courses or teacher trainings. 
 

Powerlife 1-Week Free Unlimited Class Promotion

  • The one week of unlimited class membership must be used consecutively, the first day being the first class attended, with a validity date of one week from the first class undertaken.

  • Valid only for new clients to Powerlife, not on current memberships or passes and valid only to local residents on the Sunshine Coast.

  • There are no rainchecks/postponements of classes if unable to attend during the valid one week.

  • The promotion is only for general classes, and does not include gym use, workshops, events, courses, teacher trainings or therapies.
     

Workshops
We offer refunds on workshops (less a 20% admin fee), up to 48 hours prior to the event unless otherwise stated in the workshop description. Refunds will not be given less than 48 hours prior to the event.

Private Yoga Sessions

All private yoga sessions must be paid prior to or on the day of training. Any cancellations that occur more than 24 hours before the scheduled time may be re-scheduled at no additional cost. Cancellations that occur within 24 hours will not be refunded. 

Personal Training

Direct Debit for Personal Training Packages
Personal Training packages are not refundable or transferrable and no further discounts apply. The Direct Debit includes personal training only and does not include classes, workshops, events, courses or teacher trainings. Please make sure your account is up to date when you purchase your direct debit.

Duration and Automatic Renewal
Training packages are in force for a minimum of 3 or 6 months dependent on the term you wish to choose from your training start date. It is agreed the client pays Powerlife recurring payments either fortnightly or monthly from a nominated bank account or via client authorized automatic credit card. At the end of the chosen period, the Direct Debit will automatically renew for subsequent fortnightly or monthly payments, until cancelled by written notification of 14 days in advance of the next billing date.

Cancelled Sessions with 12hrs Advance Notice
If sessions are cancelled by the client with a minimum of 12hrs notice, then make-up sessions can be arranged at a suitable time either outside your training package period or made up after the period ends, ideally within a 4 week period.

Cancelled Sessions less than 12hrs Advance Notice
If the client cancels sessions with less than 12hrs notice, the full training session cost may be forfeited at the expense of the client. If a cancelled session is due to unforeseen circumstances it is at the discretion of the Trainer if a make-up session can be arranged and the session fee will not be lost.

Freezing & Cancelling your Direct Debit Training Package

To cancel your DD payments a written request must be received via email at least 14 days in advance of your billing cycle, only once the minimum contract period has been fulfilled.

This is inclusive of your package, but missed sessions will be arranged with you at your convenience. Therefore, time is not added onto your nominated term in lieu of any public holidays or the above-mentioned closure days but Powerlife will accommodate if need be.
